In early December 2019, I applied for a position on Indeed for a Credit and Collections Analyst with a leading US multinational in East Cork. Unlike many applications made on Indeed, I received an almost immediate response from Emma O’Keeffe of PE Global sending me on the full job spec and offering her assistance with any further questions I had about the role.
Emma submitted my CV and salary expectations upon my behalf to the company in question. Once the company reopened after Christmas 2019 I was contacted by Emma to arrange an interview. Emma offered support both over the phone and by email in advance of the interview.
At the start of the recruitment process, I was rather nervous about leaving a permanent position to take a fixed-term contract
She rang me after my interview to see how I felt it went and when she had spoken to HR in the company she rang to advise that they were going to make me an offer.
All through this process Emma was only on the other end of the phone for any questions I had. When a small point on my contract was not addressed as had been discussed in the interview Emma without hesitation went back to the company on my behalf to have the required amendment made.
At the start of the recruitment process, I was rather nervous about leaving a permanent position to take a fixed-term contract. In her negotiations, Emma secured an excellent salary which was above my expectation. The support I had from Emma/PE Global up until this point, the excellent salary and the excellent reputation of the company in question left me with little worry in accepting this position. At that point, I was transferred to the care of Aaron Coughlan in PE Global’s Accounts Department, who processed my monthly timesheets without issue and who, again, was always happy to help with any queries I had.
In September 2020, after 6 months of my fixed-term contract, I was advised that the company wished to make me a permanent member of staff. Emma contacted me and asked if this was something I would like to accept and detailed the further company benefits I would have as a permanent member of staff. Emma liaised with HR on my behalf ensuring my contract was issued without delay and she assisted in my transfer from a contract to a permanent staff member.
I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with PE Global as a whole and have, on a number of occasions, I have recommended them to friends and family who are looking for new positions. I have been very lucky to have Emma as my own consultant. Without her guidance, I might not have been so reassured in taking a contract position which has really led to an excellent permanent position in which I am very happy.
