PE Global is recruiting a test technician for our mechanical engineering client based in Peterborough. The role is an initial 12 month contract. The rate for this role is £22.27 to 29.92 p/h.
Responsibilities:
• Approve the discarding or rejection of products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
• Review inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
• Notify client of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
• Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
Requirements:
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience/training required.
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
• Team player and detail oriented.
• Hands on experience of mechanical stripping, diagnostics and repair would be an advantage.
• Open to candidates from light to heavy commercial industrial.
•Welding and Fabricating experience would be essential for this role.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
