PE Global Healthcare are delighted to assist their client to recruit for a Clinical Governance Manager

The Client is an established Home Care Service Provider in Dublin

The post holder will support the delivery of home care services in the areas of clinical quality, patient safety and risk management and will ensure the organisation continuously improves the quality of care and service delivery to clients and that best practice and agreed national standards of compliance are adhered to at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all required clinical policies and procedures of the organisation are in place across care services, documented and maintained to assist organisational practices to be that of a safe and high quality service provider
  • Conduct random and planned clinical governance inspections across homecare locations where care services are delivered. submit quarterly reports of findings to the Board with recommendations and corrective action plans where required
  • Conduct formal assessments of all care staff in line with funder SLA requirements, identify skills gaps and deliver training required to upskill staff members as required.
  • Initiate, implement and manage change where required in order to improve clinical governance practices and standards in collaboration with the Board and provide leadership in that respect.
    Conduct regular reviews of client lists and any complaints logs to determine and plan actions on the basis of such reviews.
  • Assess the complaints handling procedure and related practice on the ground and continually advise the Board and Senior Management Team on the areas of required improvement.
  • Implement and resource effective systems for the management of quality improvement and measurement, risk management, incident management, open disclosure and feedback and complaints.

Candidate Essential Requirements

  • Essential: Management Experience in residential or home care setting
  • Desirable: Management qualification or equivalent level of skill acquired through experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulation requirements related to HIQA and HSE compliance and of managing inspections and associated improvement activities.
  • Strong experience within a professional or regulatory environment operating at a senior level.
  • Strong internal compliance, risk management, internal audits, and governance experience
