Social Care Worker

PE Global Healthcare are delighted to assist their client to recruit social care worker for an organisation providing comprehensive services for people with intellectual disabilities.

Full and Part time roles available 

Salary Scale €38115 – €51116

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Resident Care: Attend to daily service users’ daily needs, adopt respectful relationships, advocate independence, and assist with physical care, daily living, and social skills.
• Community Integration: Facilitate service users’ leisure activities and ensure their engagement in the community.
• Household Management: Assistance with budgeting, cooking, shopping, and maintaining cleanliness, while encouraging resident participation.
• Medication Administration: Administer and record prescribed medication.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the Foundation.
• Visitor Engagement: Foster a welcoming environment for visitors.

Candidate Requirements:

• A HETAC-accredited Diploma/Degree in Social Care, or a qualification in Nursing (RNID), or eligibility for CORU registration under the standards of proficiency (www.coru.ie/social-care-workers)
• Experience working with adults and/or children with intellectual disabilities
• Experience working with Challenging behaviour in a Residential setting
• A full driver’s license (manual)
