Senior Financial Planning Analyst

My client, a reputable public sector organisation, is looking to recruit a Senior Financial Planning Analyst on a permanent basis in Dublin. The role reports to the Finance Manager and sits with a highly professional Finance team.

The Role:

  • Prepare, maintain, and update BI/EPM reports, models, and related processes, including period-end, budget, and forecast reconciliation.
  • Generate periodic reports on IM business performance, including metrics like revenue and payroll.
  • Prepare, upload, and reconcile budget, forecast, and short and long term financial plans.
  • Complete periodic stock turnover analysis for the IM Business Unit.
  • Analyze and prepare periodic accruals.
  • Produce periodic variance analysis reports.
  • Conduct regular reviews of balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place within the Business Unit.
  • Identify and document improvements to control processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and finalize financial year-end tasks, such as stock obsolescence, leave provisions, odd days, and bad debts.
  • Respond to audit inquiries from external, internal, and PSO auditors.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems, such as FP&A.
  • Update and maintain labor appropriation codes in the SAP Project System.
  • Provide information in line with the agreed reporting schedule.
  • Manage financial aspects of third-party contracts.
  • Oversee IM Property Revenues, including CAN & Property.
  • Handle IM Road Fleet expenses, including managing multiple direct debits and charges across the Group.
  • Complete periodic road fleet financial settlements.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Professional Accounting Qualification – ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA 
  • 5 Years PQE
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems (Preferably SAP)
  • FP&A Experience Required
  • Experience with Data Analysis
  • The ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
