PE Global are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager on behalf of our client to be based in Louth, a leading engineering company specialising in stainless steel fabrication for the Pharmaceutical & Biopharma sector. This role also includes overall responsibility for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS).
Role Overview
The Quality Manager will drive Quality and EHS best practices, ensuring compliance with legislation, company policies, and industry standards. They will lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage quality systems, and foster a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
- Oversee and report on the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), including EHS.
- Promote a culture of quality and compliance across all departments.
- Manage audits, inspections, and compliance with ISO 9001, EN1090 and other relevant standards.
- Develop KPIs, implement quality planning, and ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients regarding quality performance and turnover packages (TOPs).
- Lead staff training on quality systems and compliance.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management
- Drive safety awareness and compliance across operations and client sites.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and oversee accident investigations.
- Ensure EHS standards are embedded in all projects and operations.
- Manage waste and environmental compliance, contributing to the company’s sustainability plan.
- Report on EHS performance at senior management meetings, driving business improvements.
Skills & Experience
- 3rd level qualification in Quality (or related field).
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification; knowledge of ISO 45001 & 14001.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing/construction.
- Strong knowledge of QMS, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- NEBOSH certification (or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
