Practice Accountant

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Practice Accountant to join a well-established Practice based 10 minutes outside of Cork city.

Our client is a well-establish practice based in Cork. Providing a wide range of accounting services to small-medium sized businesses. This role is fully onsite Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, farm accounts, and small businesses.
• Preparation of tax returns (Income Tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes).
• Providing general accounting advice to clients and helping them with financial decision-making.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting and tax regulations.
• Managing a portfolio of clients and maintaining strong, professional relationships with them.
• Liaising with clients on accounting and taxation matters, assisting with queries and advice.
• Managing bookkeeping tasks as required.
• Preparing management accounts and offering financial insights.
• Assist in audits and year-end accounting processes

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification (or close to completion).
• Previous experience in practice within a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and relevant financial tools.
• Knowledge of Irish tax laws and accounting regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage client portfolios.
• Strong communication skills and client-facing experience.
