My client, a longstanding and reputable Practice in the heart of Cork city, is looking to recruit a Practice Accountant to join their growing team. This role will report directly into the MD of the company and will be given exposure to various different areas of the business.
The Role:
- Financial Management: Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure adherence to Irish tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Audit Coordination: Work with external auditors during the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.
- Advisory Services: Offer financial insights and advice on budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to support strategic decisions.
- Client Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and addressing financial inquiries.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives
Qualifications:
- ACCA, ACA or CPA Required
- 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a practice or professional services environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
- Experience with Irish tax preparation and compliance is highly advantageous.
