PE Global are partnered with a leading Data Centre construction organisation focused on sustainable construction in the industry. They are currently recruiting for a LEED AP / BREEAM AP to join the team in Dublin.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a LEED Accredited Professional (AP) / BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) to join our client, supporting the sustainable design and construction of data centre projects. This is a full time, permanent role based in Dublin.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with green building standards, and leading certification processes from project inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the LEED and/or BREEAM certification processes for data centre projects.
- Advise project teams on best practices to achieve high-performance sustainability ratings.
- Develop and implement strategies to exceed regulatory and client sustainability requirements.
- Provide technical expertise on sustainable building practices, materials selection, and energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Irish and EU environmental regulations, as well as corporate ESG goals.
- Conduct sustainability assessments and life cycle analyses to inform design and construction decisions.
- Work closely with design teams, contractors, and clients to embed sustainability across project lifecycles.
- Liaise with certifying bodies and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth certification processes.
- Prepare detailed sustainability reports, assessments, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and regulatory developments.
- Identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and efficiency in data centre projects.
- Support internal knowledge sharing and training on sustainable construction principles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- LEED AP and/or BREEAM AP accreditation is essential.
- Proven experience in sustainability consulting, green building certification, or environmental compliance within the construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable building materials, energy efficiency, carbon reduction strategies, and circular economy principles.
- Familiarity with Irish and EU sustainability regulations, including NZEB, ESG reporting, and EU Taxonomy requirements.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple certification processes simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive sustainability initiatives.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, or other sustainability certifications.
- Knowledge of data centre design and operations from a sustainability perspective.
- Experience using energy modelling and life cycle assessment tools.
