The role:
Are you a caring and compassionate Heath Care Assistant looking for additional shifts, days, nights or weekends? We are working with 2 community hospitals in the region who are looking for HCAs to pick up ad-hoc shifts to support their services.
The role of a Health Care Assistant is vital to ensure the Trust delivers a safe and high quality service to all its service users.
We can offer you a variety of shift patters, from long days or nights to traditional 7.5 hours on weekdays or weekends. You can work a few shifts, a few weeks or for a number of months.
Main Duties:
- To monitor patients and report any changes that identity the need for review of the patients care.
- Ensure peoples comfort, safety and dignity whilst also maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Enable, encourage and/or assist patients (where appropriate) with personal care such as bathing, showing, toileting, hygiene continence care, skin integrity, meal prep and medication.
- Assist/support or prompt the patient in managing medication.
- Deliver support plans and safeguarding vulnerable people.
- Contribute to outcome focused reviews.
- Encourage peoples independence, choice, health and wellbeing.
What you’ll need:
A minimum of 6 months paid experienced as a HCA within a clinical setting
Enhanced DBS
Occupational health clearance
