Head Of Project Procurement

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Head Of Project Procurement for a leading multi-national maritime company based in Saudi Arabia.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality, cost, and timely delivery of materials and services for the project.
• Oversee and manage the Procurement Plan for materials and subcontracting.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Project Procurement Plans and Schedules for all projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Subcontracts, Logistics, Projects, and QHSE to ensure timely delivery of supplier documents (drawings, quotations, etc.).
• Coordinate with Engineering to ensure timely submission of project deliverables such as drawings, purchase requisitions, and MTOs.
• Follow up with procurement teams to ensure purchase orders (POs) are released on time, in line with the required on-site (ROS) dates outlined in the procurement plan.
• Regularly review supplier compliance with contractual requirements related to customs, duties, and logistics, with support from relevant functions like taxation, expediting, and logistics.
• Oversee supplier claim management in coordination with Cost Control and procurement teams.
• Manage and monitor the Project Procurement Budget.
• Report monthly progress, supplier claims, and project cost summaries to procurement management and the project team. Provide regular updates on supplier cash flow and project milestone recognition related to procurement.

Education/Experience

• 9-15 years of experience in Buying/Procurement or a similar role, preferably in the Marine or Oil & Gas industries.
• Extensive experience in sourcing and leadership roles related to project procurement.
• Experience as a Project Manager, Tender Project Manager, or Supply Chain/Purchasing Manager.
