FP&A Accountant

PE Global is currently recruiting for an FP&A Accountant to join a Tier 1 Construction company based in Kildare.  

This is a permanent opportunity with an employer of choice in Kildare. The successful candidate will report into the FP&A Controller and support FP&A aspects of Contractors Segment ensuring that all segment, statutory, management reporting and compliance requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Support key financial processes including monthly segment performance reporting and bottom-up forecasting. Ensure reporting and forecasting timelines and requirements are met.
• Assist in the month end processes for central overhead cost centres.
• Assist with the review and constructive challenge of overheads reporting and help with the continuous improvement of the quality of reporting and variance and trend analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly segment management packs including commentary which clearly articulates the real drivers and trading outcomes.
• Support External Audit and assist with the preparation of the Statutory Accounts.
• Support identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to support the drive for efficiency and standardisation in the FP&A function.
• Provide insights to management around financial modelling, scenario planning and forecasts.
• Provide support on ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements:

• You will be a fully Qualified Accountant with at least 1-2 years PQE (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA)
• You will have experience working within an FP&A role with exposure to Business Partnering
• Construction FP&A experience is a significant advantage
• You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• You will be able to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders and build relationships
• Audit experience is an advantage
• SAP, BPC, Coins or Solver is an advantage but not essential
