My Client, A global leading player in their field, is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to oversee financial planning, accounting practices, and delivering accurate, up-to-date financial information to Senior Management. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, lending institutions, and the broader financial community.

The role:

  • Financial Systems & Controls: Develop and maintain robust financial systems and internal controls to support organizational goals.
  • Leadership & Culture: Foster a high-performance culture within the finance team, ensuring accountability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks to maintain long-term sustainability.
  • Strategic Planning: Support business planning processes, providing insights through detailed reporting, analysis, and collaboration.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to corporate, legal, and employment regulations.
  • Representation: Act as the company’s financial representative in external engagements as required.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Cultivate a finance team culture that prioritizes and supports the needs of operational and front-line functions.
  • Resources & Tools: Equip the team with the necessary tools, infrastructure, and systems for effective operations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cash flow management.
  • Corporate Reporting: Manage the preparation and submission of corporate reports.
  • Audit Preparation: Lead the preparation of consolidated annual financial statements for audit.
  • Capital Projects: Approve, monitor, and control CAPEX initiatives.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage tax obligations, including Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, and other relevant taxes.

Requirements:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA 
  • at Least 3 Years PQE in a similar role 
  • Proven expertise in contracting, negotiation, and change management.
  • Strong capabilities in capital management, inventory control, cash flow management, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-national financial obligations and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
