Electrical Engineer – Bristol or Stevenage

PE Global is recruiting an Electrical Engineer for our leading aerospace client based in Bristol/Stevenage. The role is an initial 6 month contract.

Please note that, due to the sensitive nature of this client’s industry and the required security clearance, we are only able to accept applications from candidates with British Citizenship and no other nationalities.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Responsible for a variety of RF work including RCS prediction and measurement, Antennas, RF Testing, Radar System and Radio altimeters.
• Electronics Engineer to support various tasks including testing, component level assembly and rework. 
• You’ll have exposure / bias towards RF technology across the full product life cycle.
• You will work autonomously within a multi-skilled team with a good understanding and dedication to achieving project goals.

Requirements:

• Security Clearance will be required and will be organised by the client
• Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience in electronic design, development and delivery; preferably in defence or related industry.
• Hands on lab experience would be a distinct advantage
• Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team with the awareness and understanding of the challenges that this may bring.
• Knowledge of a wide range of electronic technologies and products
• Familiar with RF circuits and components across a wide range of frequencies
• Practical skills – soldering, fault finding and RF component level assembly
• Use of RF Laboratory Test Equipment – Spectrum Analysers, VNA’s, Power meters
• Ability to use CAD software such as KiCAD or ORCAD
• Good communication skills with the ability to produce high quality written reports and presentations to internal and external customers
