The Role

PE Global are recruiting for an Education and Youth Programme Executive for our energy client. Candidates can be based in Dublin/ Cork/ Sligo/ Dundalk. This is a 12- month contract role, with hybrid working options.

Job Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of the Education and Youth Programme. The Education and Youth Programme involves developing and facilitating the delivery and implementation of a programme to teach young people (up to 18 years) about sustainable energy as a key pillar of climate action.
  • The programme aims to lead in sustainable energy and climate change education for young people and their educators by offering supports on the latest technology and government policy, locally and globally.
  • The above are achieved through a range of curricular aligned resources for teaching energy at all levels of the school system and supporting stakeholders in the education and youth work sector.
  • This position will play a key role in the above Decarbonised Heat and System Supports Department and will report to the Programme Manager Education and Youth.

 

Essential Requirements

  • A degree (minimum level 7 NFQ or higher) in Energy/Environmental Management, Education, Marketing or Business, and a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience working in this sector, or in a similar role (postgraduate studies can be considered).
  • An appreciation and general knowledge of the Irish education system particularly on points of intersection with the topic of sustainability and climate change.
  • Broad understanding and a passion for the environment and sustainability in an education context.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation, project planning, implementation, budgeting and tracking skills.

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the education sector.
  • Direct experience and understanding of engaging youth.
  • Fluency in the Irish language.
  • Relationship building and networking.
  • Flexibility, creativity and innovation regarding programme development and delivery.
  • Representational, influencing and negotiating skills.
