The Role

PE Global are recruiting for Decarbonised Heat & System Supports for our Energy client based in Dublin CC. This is an 18-month contract role. Hybrid working options.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Single Point of Contact for Renewable Energy Consenting is a function arising from the EU Renewable Energy Directive II (2018) and subsequent RED III recast (2023).
  • The function comprises of two elements, a guidance function that is already up and running, and a monitoring function, the design and building of which is just about to commence.
  • The SPC for Renewable Energy Consenting Monitoring Specialist will support the design and development of this vital function.
  • The District Heating Centre of Excellence is a newly established team which aims to support district heating deployment.
  • Its function comprises of two elements, to provide expertise and guidance to project sponsors on the delivery of district heating schemes, and to support a co-ordinated approach and long-term strategy for district heating deployment nationally.

 

Education and Experience

  • A degree (Level 7 on NFQ) or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science, Business or Economics.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience of working in this or a related sector or in a similar role (can include post-graduate studies).
  • Knowledge of the energy sector, particularly in energy efficiency and renewable energy in business and industry, would be a distinct advantage.
  • Working experience engaging with the Irish renewable energy consenting regime.
  • Legal/regulatory experience applied to the Irish consenting regime.
  • Experience in the design and development of web-based portals.
  • A qualification in project management
  • Knowledge/ Experience of working in the Public Sector.
  • Experience and expertise in district heating development.
  • Commercial management expertise in district heating with knowledge of business model development, procurement, negotiation, risk management, governance, contract management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presenting, public speaking, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent team-player skills and flexibility.
