PE Global are delighted to be working with our client a tier 1 leading building and fit out contractor, head office based in Dublin 17. They are expanding their team in Dublin to meet the growing demand for high-quality civil engineering and infrastructure work, with a strong focus on projects commencing in the first quarter of 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Contracts Managers from Ireland or the UK looking to relocate or return to Dublin to make a significant impact on major civils projects all based in Dublin.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to oversee and manage the execution of multiple civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring contract compliance, optimizing project delivery, and managing stakeholder relationships. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of contract management within the civils industry, along with excellent leadership skills to drive projects to completion on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead the contractual management of civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and adhered to.
- Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring alignment with company and legal standards.
- Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and mitigate project and contractual risks; proactively resolve contract-related issues to avoid disputes and delays.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor and manage project budgets, implementing cost-saving measures and ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders, maintaining strong and positive relationships.
- Team Leadership: Collaborate with project managers and site teams, providing guidance on contractual matters and supporting them to achieve project milestones.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as all relevant company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the civil engineering or construction sectors.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of contract law and construction contracts, especially NEC and FIDIC.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills with an ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Certifications: Membership with relevant professional bodies such as RICS, CIOB, or ICE is advantageous.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings as required.
