Our Client, a reputable public sector company in Dublin, is looking to recruit a Business Reporting Manager within the Finance team. This is a permanent role that offers a very competitive salary, benefits and a hybrid working opportunity.
The Role:
- Preparation of periodic Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports for the business, covering revenue, expenses, payroll, cash flow, working capital, etc
- Management of the budgeting, forecasting, and 5-year planning processes, including uploading and reconciliation.
- Compilation of regular executive summaries.
- Monitoring and management of the periodic stock turnover for the business unit.
- Review of periodic accruals by the team.
- Oversight and analysis of variance reports on a periodic basis.
- Supervision of balance sheet account management by the team.
- Management of internal controls within the business unit, as led by the Finance Manager for Governance and Control.
- Oversight of procedures and documentation related to roles within the company.
- Support and promote a culture of cross-training and succession planning within the team.
- Identification and documentation of improvements to control processes and procedures.
- Supervision of key year-end financial tasks, such as stock obsolescence, leave provisions, odd days, and bad debts.
- Management of responses to audit queries from external, internal, and PSO audits.
- Participation in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems, such as FP&A.
- Provision of information in line with the agreed reporting calendar.
- Financial management of third-party contracts.
- Oversight of IM property revenues, including CAN & Property.
- Periodic review of Benefits in Kind (BIK) compliance.
- Completion of ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- Professional Accounting Qualification – ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA
- Experience IT Forecasting & FP&A an advantage
- Experience in SAP or ERP systems essential
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- The ability to lead teams and take ownership of projects
- People Management experience also an advantage
- The ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
