Business Development Lead

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Business Development Lead for a leading multi-national Oil & Gas company based Germany.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

• Managing the business development process through to deal closure, ensuring proposals meet stage-gate progress, prioritizing business opportunities according to investment criteria, and offering commercial and technical solutions to enhance the company’s business offerings.
• Collaborating with investor(s) to define high-level strategic, financial, and operational goals for new ventures.
• Reviewing investor proposals, approving contract payments and variations within authority limits, and acting as a primary contact for contractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts (e.g., Law, Finance, Strategy, Planning) to ensure alignment and progression of deals. Also working with external entities and advisors to foster business opportunities.
• Leading business portfolios, managing the development of commercial agreements, and reviewing legal documents such as heads of terms, MoUs, cost-sharing agreements, shareholders agreements, product offtake agreements, and shared services. Oversees negotiation strategy development and execution.
• Preparing, reviewing, and presenting materials for corporate committees and executive briefs.
• Providing administrative oversight to Business Development staff, including conducting performance appraisals, making promotion recommendations, and handling other relevant HR duties. Ensures proper documentation is maintained for all business development activities.
• Representing the company and its affiliates in professional societies, committees, and conferences.

Education/Experience

• Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum Experience: 12 years.
• Licenses/Certificates: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent.
