PE Global Recruitment are delighted to be partnered with a leading tier 1 construction company based in Dublin. This organisation is involved with building & fit out projects. They are currently seeking a Building Services Engineer to join the team in Dublin.

Description:
You will be responsible for ensuring all building services are coordinated with other construction activities, from specification and procurement through to the installation, testing and commissioning of services in a variety of commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare buildings.
- Designing and specifying mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing (MEP), and other building systems.
- Incorporating renewable energy solutions (e.g., solar panels, geothermal systems) and energy-efficient systems into building designs.
- Ensuring designs comply with Irish building regulations, EU standards, and relevant sustainability certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
- Working with architects, structural engineers, and contractors during the design and planning phases.
- Overseeing the installation of building services systems, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring quality standards are upheld.
- Ensuring the correct materials, equipment, and resources are available on-site.
- Supervising the installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical systems, fire protection systems, and water services.
- Ensuring systems are installed correctly and performing testing to verify functionality and safety.
- Creating maintenance schedules for building systems to ensure long-term functionality.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues with building services systems.
- Ensuring all systems meet local building codes, health, and safety standards, including those set by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).
- Performing assessments and audits to ensure workplace safety during installation and post-construction.
- Evaluating the energy performance of a building and recommending improvements.
- Helping clients achieve energy-efficiency targets and certifications like NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building).
- Consulting with clients to understand their needs and advising on optimal building services solutions.
- Providing updates on project progress, costs, and challenges.
- Utilizing BIM software to model and optimize building services systems.
- Leveraging building management systems (BMS) to monitor and control building operations.
Requirements:
Candidates should have relevant 3rd level qualifications and at least three years’ experience gained either with a building contractor or in a skills transferable field.
Experience with relevant IT systems and knowledge of AutoCAD is required, as is the ability to work in teams, to be organised self-starters and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
