My Client, a reputable company in mid Cork, is looking for an Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a progressive role in a growing company that offers the opportunity to work directly with an established Financial Controller.

The Role:

  • Process and manage payroll on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Perform bank reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring that all transactions are accurately accounted for
  • Take full responsibility for the debtor function, including invoicing, collection, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing data and financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Oversee and manage month-end close processes, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis to compare actual performance with budgeted figures.
  • KPI Reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements, including VAT, VIES, Intrastat, WEEE, CSO, PAYE, and RCT.
  • Assist with the preparation of lead schedules and other supporting documentation required for the annual audit.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiencies, particularly in areas like debtor days and expense analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT), part qualified.
  • Minimum 3 years of finance/accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent working VAT knowledge
  • Experience with manufacturing, preferable.
  • Experience within the Agricultural industry, advantageous.
