My Client, a reputable firm in South Tipperary, is looking to recruit an Accountant on a permanent basis. The role offers a very competitive salary, significant career progression and hybrid working after an initial training period.

The Role:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports
  • Conduct detailed reconciliations of accounts and financial data
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Collaborate with senior management to analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Support the preparation of audit files and liaise with external auditors
  • Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to assist with decision-making
  • Assist with VAT returns, payroll processing, and other compliance activities
  • Maintain and update accounting records using accounting software
  • Participate in process improvements to streamline financial reporting and operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or working towards qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a practice or corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and tax regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset
