At PE Global, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of our mission and operations. We are committed to making a positive impact on society, the environment, and the communities we serve. Our CSR initiatives are designed to ensure that we operate ethically, sustainably, and with a deep sense of responsibility towards our stakeholders.
What We Are Doing
1. Sustainable Business Practices: We integrate sustainability into our business model by reducing our environmental footprint, promoting eco-friendly practices, and supporting green initiatives.
2. Community Engagement: We actively engage with local communities through volunteer programs, partnerships, and charitable contributions. Our goal is to support and uplift the communities where we live and work.
At PE Global, we are dedicated to giving back to our communities through a variety of fundraising initiatives as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. Here are some examples of the activities we have undertaken to support local charities and causes:
Bake Sales for Simon Community
Our team regularly organises bake sales to support the Simon Community, a charity dedicated to providing services and support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Employees contribute homemade baked goods, and all proceeds from the sales are donated to the Simon Community to help fund their essential services.
Marymount Hospice Fundraisers
We have held numerous fundraising events to support Marymount Hospice, an organisation providing palliative care services to patients with life-limiting illnesses. All funds raised go directly to Marymount Hospice to assist with their invaluable work.
Cork Penny Dinners Food Drive
PE Global conducts annual food drives to benefit Cork Penny Dinners, one of Ireland’s oldest charities, which provides hot meals to those in need. Employees are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items. These efforts help ensure that Cork Penny Dinners can continue to offer support to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
Christmas Jumper Days
Every holiday season, we participate in Christmas Jumper Days to raise funds for various local charities. Employees wear festive Christmas jumpers to work and make donations to participate. The funds collected are distributed to selected charities, spreading holiday cheer and supporting those in need during the festive season.
Supporting Husky Rescue Ireland’s Mission to Ukraine
At PE Global, we were proud to support Husky Rescue Ireland in their incredible efforts to rescue and rehome dogs affected by the conflict in Ukraine. At the start of the war, Husky Rescue Ireland embarked on a challenging mission to save dogs left behind in the turmoil, ensuring they received the care and homes they desperately needed.
Understanding the urgent need for sustenance for the rescued dogs, we organised food drives within our organisation. Employees contributed generously, resulting in a significant collection of high-quality dog food. These donations were critical in providing the rescued dogs with the nutrition they needed during their journey and initial care phases.
Recognising the importance of mental stimulation and comfort for dogs in distress, we collected a variety of toys to accompany Husky Rescue Ireland on their mission. These toys provided much-needed relief and a sense of normalcy for the dogs during a traumatic time, helping them adjust and recover from their ordeal.
To aid in the safe transport and handling of the rescued dogs, we donated dog leads, harnesses, and other necessary equipment. This equipment ensured that the dogs could be securely and comfortably managed during their relocation process, facilitating smoother transitions into their new homes.
By providing essential supplies, we have helped ensure the well-being and safety of countless dogs affected by the war in Ukraine. Our donations have not only addressed immediate needs but have also contributed to the long-term rehoming efforts, giving these dogs a second chance at life in loving homes.
Commitment to Animal Welfare
At PE Global, we are deeply committed to animal welfare and supporting organisations that make a tangible difference. Our partnership with Husky Rescue Ireland reflects our broader CSR goals of contributing positively to society and supporting those in need, including our furry friends.
Through our ongoing efforts and collaborations, we aim to continue making a meaningful impact, ensuring that vulnerable animals receive the care, love, and homes they deserve.
These are just a few examples of the many fundraising initiatives we undertake at PE Global. Our commitment to social responsibility drives us to continuously seek out new opportunities to support our communities and make a positive impact. Through the collective efforts of our team, we strive to contribute to a better, more caring society.
3. Ethical Recruitment: We uphold the highest standards of ethics in our recruitment processes, ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity. We strive to create equal opportunities for all candidates and promote a diverse workforce.
Through our Social Value Method Statement, we create new employment and training opportunities, particularly for those who face barriers to employment and/or who are located in deprived areas, and for people in industries with known skills shortages or in high growth sectors. E.g. we create employment/training opportunities in key healthcare sectors experiencing skills shortages (including Allied Health Professions, e.g. radiography and speech/language therapy roles), targeting areas of deprivation (e.g. using the Indices of Multiple Deprivation).
PE Global’s Portfolio Director, Duncan Robertson, has been making a significant impact as a member of the Employment Advisory Board (EAB) at HMP Chelmsford since 2023, representing PE Global.
The EAB, as highlighted by the UK government, consists of business experts from esteemed companies like Lotus, Murphy Group, and Sodexo. These boards collaborate with prisons to ensure offenders develop the skills and connections necessary for successful reintegration into the workforce upon release.
Duncan’s role within this initiative is crucial. He offers invaluable advisory support to both the prison and its offenders, focusing on:

🔹 Providing guidance on securing employment within the community
🔹 Ensuring offenders have the skills that employers are looking for
Through his dedication, Duncan is helping to break the cycle of reoffending by equipping individuals with the tools they need to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society.
