PE Global Healthcare are delighted to assist their client to recruit a CNM 3 and a CNM 1 ICU for an acute hospital in Cork

CNM 3 Duties

• Participate in the management of and be responsible for the day to day service of clinical care within area of responsibility.
• Planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the service delivery.
• Supervise and coordinate and lead a team of staff in the implementation and provision of the highest quality patient care.
• Act as a role model by promoting best practice in the delivery of nursing care and provide clinical expertise and support within the inter disciplinary team.
• Support, assist and facilitate colleagues in achieving specific Critical Success Factors as developed for the ward/unit/department.

CNM 3 Candidate Requirements

• Current registration with NMBI
• Strong values and commitment to patient Safety & Quality
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a people management role essential
• Minimum 5 years post graduate acute care nursing experience.
• Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills
• Management Qualification essential.
• ACLS course completed, or be willing to undertake

CNM 1 ICU Duties

The Clinical Nurse Manager I will, under the guidance of the CNMII,

• coordinate and lead a team of staff in the implementation and provision of the highest quality patient care.
• They will be responsible for the quality of patient care in their area, manage resources, lead the team and be accountable for nursing activity in their area.
• They must as a role model promote best practice in the delivery of nursing care and provide clinical expertise and support within the Inter Disciplinary Team.
• Support, assist and facilitate colleagues in achieving specific Critical Success Factors as developed for the department.

CNM 1 ICU Candidate REquirements

Registered General Nurse

• Be on the live register with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Demonstrable commitment to patient Safety & Quality
• Hold a recognised post registration qualification in Critical Care Nursing or Intensive Care Nursing
• Have a minimum of 5 years full time post registration clinical experience, 3 of which must be within the Critical Care or related area.
• Management Qualification preferable or willing to undertake
