Main duties of the job
- Collaborate with three other consultants in Urological cancers to enhance treatment options for patients.
- Collaborate with two other consultants in Upper GI cancers to enhance treatment opportunities for Cornish patients.
- Engage in, promote, and enhance the extensive and innovative clinical trials portfolio.
- Assume responsibility for designated clinical tasks including MDT meetings, outpatient clinics, radiotherapy treatment planning, and inpatient care.
- Develop and advocate for protocols related to patient treatment options.
- Participate in the on-call schedule and cultivate leadership skills within the department.
- Contribute to teaching junior staff and medical students within the department.
- Adhere to all clinical governance processes and procedures of the Trust.
- Maintain Continuing Professional Development accreditation in line with guidelines from the Royal College of Radiologists or Royal College of Physicians.
- Participate in the Trust’s appraisal program and GMC revalidation processes.
- The Trust supports Continuing Medical Education as outlined by the Royal College of Radiologists, providing time and financial support for these activities.

Essential
- Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice
- FRCR
- Within 6 months of CCT date at time of interview
- On GMC specialty register
Experience

- Teaching Medical Students
- Experienced in Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance
