PE Global are recruiting for a Homecare Manager in Mullingar, Co Westmeath for one of our esteemed clients.

We now require an exceptional Care Manager in Mullingar who will assist in growing and managing a team of motivated, compassionate Carers in your assigned area. You will work closely with your Regional Manager and be fully supported by our Support Centre.

As the successful candidate, you will be highly motivated to oversee and assist in providing high quality care to vulnerable people.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure efficient and effective management of carer on-boarding, carer rosters, carer training/development and overall carer welfare with the support of your Regional Manager and Support Office.

• Confidently deliver 20-hour Carer Induction Training ensuring Carers are sufficiently prepared and trained in advance of providing care to all clients in your assigned area.

• Introduce, Shadow and Supervise new Carers as per the Homecare/HSE operating procedure.

• Using our Care Management software, monitor all daily activities with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and compliance at every level. Take any action required under your remit and escalate as needed.

• Using our Care Management Software, communicate closely with the Support Office regarding Scheduling runs, Client Care and HSE communication.

• Take responsibility for identifying, monitoring and managing training needs within your team, by implementing a career development path in line with the HR strategy.

• Arrange local Carer Forums for Carer group updates to foster positive team relations and open communication

• Attend Care Managers National Operational Meetings to share and learn

• Ensure Client Quality Assurance reviews are carried out and recorded in line with the company and HSE Standards.

• Flexibility to take responsibility for all reasonable duties that support the provision of the highest level of care by the company.

 

Requirements

• QQI Level 6 Health Services Supervisory Management Skills (or higher)

• 3-5 years’ experience in Home Care or Community Care Sector in a Supervisory or Management role

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Well organised and process driven

• Effective time management skills

• Full clean drivers license
