PE Global is recruiting a Mechanical Technician for our multinational oil and gas client based in Inverurie. The role is an initial 9 month contract with the chance of a permanent position once the contract duration is over.
Responsibilities:
- Follow blueprints, diagrams, and instructions to accurately assemble products.
- Ensure cleanliness and follow designs/procedures.
- Monitor materials and products for defects.
- Guide and support team members.
- Support on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and quality.
- Keep the work area safe, organised, and clean following 5S and LEAN principles.
- Support new techniques, products, and machinery purchases.
- Engage in daily briefings and discuss potential issues.
- Complete tasks to meet targets set by the Cell Leader.
- Inform the Cell Leader of any assembly disruptions.
Requirements:
- Have a background in a mechanical based profession
- Ability to operate basic hand and power tools
- Forklift and overhead crane certificates (Desirable)
- Working knowledge within an assembly & manufacturing environment (Desirable)
