POSITION SUMMARY:

 

As part of the Engineering Project Delivery Team, this contract position is responsible for Financial Management of a large portfolio of Engineering projects within our Little Island site.  These activities include but are not limited to:

 

GENERAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Lead the management of spend for a portfolio of Engineering projects in accordance with the Financial Cycle (BP, JU, NU)
  • Assist the preparation of cost estimates for Capital approval of Engineering Projects.
  • Cost Estimation (creation, tracking, updating, auditing vs actual costs, forecasting)
  • Reporting & Risk Management of departmental spend plan.
  • Managing interdepartmental cost transfers
  • Collaborating with both onsite & offshore finance partners
  • Collaborating with & influencing management and stakeholders.
  • Supporting Change Control process or Scheduling activities as required.

 

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out routine and non-routine tasks delegated by the Manager according to appropriate procedures, values and standards.
  • Compliance with Finance and general site procedures at all times
  • Completion of all documentation in compliance with site procedures and GDP
  • Lead by example and strive to perform to high standards at all times.
  • Retrospective review of project cost performance Vs project goals and lessons learned.
  • Participate in and lead Cross-Functional teams as necessary.

ORGANISATIONAL INTERFACES:

  • Interface at with all site departments, Finance, Operations, Maintenance, Facilities, Quality, MSAT, Commissioning/Qualification and Training departments.
  • Contact with other J&J sites, offshore teams and external suppliers.

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

ESSENTIAL:

  • Third level qualification in Business, Finance, Engineering or Science.

 

 

DESIRABLE:

  • Qualification in Finance or relevant financial experience.
  • Experience of SAP, LIM’s and/or other business systems
  • Excellent level of administrative skills and knowledge of all Microsoft office applications
  • Experience of cost control within a GMP regulated environment.
  • Experience/Qualification in Project Management
  • High level of organization, planning and facilitation skills.
  • Experience of working in an Engineering team in a multinational corporate environment.
