We are seeking a skilled Power Market Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting data from power markets, forecasting price movements, and providing actionable insights for trading and risk management teams. Your expertise will guide strategic decisions, helping to optimize the company’s portfolio and navigate the complexities of the European power market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse real-time and historical power market data to forecast price movements and supply-demand dynamics.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors that impact European power markets.
• Develop and maintain forecasting models to support power trading strategies and risk management.
• Provide traders with actionable insights and recommendations based on market data and quantitative analysis.
• Collaborate with risk management and strategy teams to assess market risks and opportunities.
• Prepare detailed market reports and present findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed on developments in energy policy, grid operations, and market regulations across Europe.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in power market analysis, preferably within the European energy markets.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative modeling and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages used for market analysis.
• Familiarity with European power market fundamentals, including pricing, supply-demand dynamics, and market structures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
