We are seeking a financial specialist to join the Capital Programs & Contracting Compliance Department, of the world’s largest and most innovative companies operating within the energy market. The company plays a crucial role in global energy supply across all continents and has embarked on a major drive to diversify their portfolio as well as investing in start ups and scales ups. Led by technology-driven decisions, their interests now cover business lines across – energy, renewables, power, infrastructure, maritime, aviation, finance, space, digital twins, AI, VR, AR, data, IOT, agri-tech, edu-tech, health-tech, robotics, drones and sustainability ventures.
The department provides financial advisory, controllership, and decision support for capital programs and individual expenditure requests, as well as an advisory role in assessing projects in terms of contract procurement and claims.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from the Business Plan phase through Post-Project Appraisal. Key activities will include:
- Reviewing proposed projects for capital budget inclusion to ensure validity of the business case and compliance with company policies.
- Conducting assessments of projects proposed for funding and participating in the gated project review process.
- Performing post-project completion analysis to confirm objectives were met and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conducting special studies as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze capital projects proposed for funding and provide detailed comments and recommendations.
- Represent the department in capital project reviews prior to funding approval.
- Address complex questions related to capital projects and offer recommendations to management.
- Provide guidance on policies and project funding as required.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports.
- Perform detailed post-project performance analysis and present findings.
- Analyze contract procurement and provide relevant insights to management.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Engineering is required. A professional certification in project management is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, project evaluations, project controls, process/change management, or strategy/management consulting across various industries is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems are highly desirable.

- Strong project management skills with a talent for offering logical and innovative solutions to complex issues.
- Proficiency in negotiation, particularly in the context of contract bid reviews.
