70 new jobs are to be created next year by the Irish recruitment agency, PE Global.

The jobs will be in recruitment, IT, marketing and finance.

The expansion comes as the company expands into the Germany, Austria and Switzerland regions where it is working with automotive, STEM and IT service clients.

PharmEng was established in Cork 17 years ago and works with many large global multinational firms in areas such as pharma, renewable energy, cloud and medical devices.

The company already has 85 employees across four offices in Cork, Dublin, London and India.

It also has a further 1,000 staff on contract and temporary job placements.

Its operating profit is expected to increase 85% this year with its turnover set to react €60m.

The news of the expansion was welcomed by the Tánaiste, Leo Varadkar.

“It is really positive news to see homegrown Irish firm PE Global expanding its global footprint and creating 70 new job opportunities both in Ireland and abroad,” he said.
