Senior Data Scientist – Boston

My client a leading pharmaceutical company with multiple blockbusting drugs has an opening for a Senior Data Scientist. In this position, you will be joining a passionate team who focus on predicative and generative models for biologic design. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be part of multi-disciplinary group working at the cutting edge of drug design utilising machine learning to support discovery of biologics.  This is an opportunity to work cross functionally with experienced chemists, biologists and computationally scientists in the discovery and optimisation of my client’s drugs.     

Main duties:

• Spearhead machine-learning, artificial intelligence and deep-learning
• Development of my client’s biologics and modelling platform
• Work with teams in antibody technology, biology and chemistry
• Leverage protein sequence and structural information

Candidate Qualification:  

• Ph.D in any of the following; Computer Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioinformatics or Computational Biology
• Adept with programming, (Python or R) machine-learning, deep-learning and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch…
• Experience in optimising biologic properties and sequences
• Experience in drug discovery and development
• Analysing protein sequences and applying structural biology
• Knowledge of antibody, nanobody, large molecules

Renumeration

• $180,000 – $210,000+ per annum
• 20% Bonus
